Cynthia Bailey-Martinez a native of Colorado brings more than 30 years of experience in education and a lifelong passion for children’s literature to La Selva Publishing. During her career as an educator, she has read and worked with more than 2,000 children’s books, developing a deep understanding of the stories that engage, inspire, and educate young readers.

As a co-founder, Cynthia helps discover and recruit authors, evaluate children’s manuscripts, and develop La Selva’s children’s publishing program. She is also a children’s author whose original works will be part of the La Selva catalog.

A fitness instructor, Cynthia brings an additional perspective centered on energy, wellness, discipline, and lifelong learning.

Leonard A. Martinez

Co-Founder | Author & Publisher

Leonard A. Martinez brings more than 30 years of experience as an attorney, litigator, entrepreneur, and storyteller to La Selva Publishing. A Denver native, he earned his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law after studying business and marketing at Metropolitan State College. His career has included work in the White House, political campaigns, private practice, and decades representing people whose lives and experiences often became stories in their own right.

Leonard is also the founder of AttorneyDocs, an online legal-document marketplace he created after recognizing how technology could help attorneys share knowledge and work more efficiently. That entrepreneurial experience, combined with decades of writing and advocacy, helped inspire his move into publishing.

As a co-founder of La Selva Publishing, Leonard helps guide the company’s publishing strategy, author development, and acquisition of new stories. He is also an author whose work draws upon the law, human conflict, and the remarkable stories he has encountered throughout his career.

Adrianna Martinez

Co-Founder | Health, Wellness & Editorial Advisor

Adrianna Martinez brings a health, wellness, and next-generation perspective to La Selva Publishing. A Doctor of Chiropractic with a master’s degree in Exercise Science, Adrianna’s background includes clinical experience in rehabilitation, sports and athletic care, and helping individuals pursue healthier, more active lives.

Adrianna is also an avid reader who has read more than 500 books and has developed a keen eye for storytelling, structure, and detail. A talented editor, she brings both a reader’s perspective and a careful editorial voice to La Selva, helping authors strengthen their work while preserving the individuality of their stories.

As a co-founder of La Selva Publishing, Adrianna helps evaluate and edit manuscripts, identify promising authors and stories, and develop projects in health, wellness, fitness, education, and other genres. Her combination of academic training, editorial ability, and love of books brings a distinctive perspective to La Selva’s growing catalog.

Dante Martinez

Co-Founder | Creative & Digital Strategy Advisor

Dante Martinez brings a creative, communications, and digital-media perspective to La Selva Publishing. With professional experience in digital engagement and communications, Dante understands how storytelling extends beyond the printed page and how authors and books can connect with readers in an increasingly digital world.

Dante has also played a hands-on role in La Selva’s development from the beginning. His creative input helped shape the company’s identity and the presentation of its first publications, including contributing to the naming and cover design of Devil’s Outcry. His eye for design, messaging, and audience engagement brings another dimension to La Selva’s publishing process.

As a co-founder, Dante helps guide creative direction, branding, digital strategy, book presentation, and audience development. He brings a contemporary perspective to how La Selva introduces its authors and stories to readers across traditional and digital platforms.

Hercules (English Bulldog) and Athena (French Bulldog) round out the La Selva family. While their contributions to manuscript development remain somewhat questionable, they provide enthusiastic support, frequent breaks from the keyboard, and a daily reminder that every good publishing house needs a little personality.
